Vodafone Corporate Partnership

8th November 2023

Fran giving presentationTrussell Trust were invited to Vodafone HQ in Newbury to deliver a charity insight presentation to the Vodafone team on site.Caroline Milton the Corporate Partnership Manager from Trussell Trust delivered an excellent presentation about the

work of the Trussell Trust and the 1300 local Foodbanks throughout the UK.

Vodafone has donated over 200,000 SIM cards to Trussell Trust foodbank, giving free calls, texts and 20Gb of data each month to the recipients. This has allowed so many to look for jobs, search the internet for mental health support, keeping people in touch with families and so much more.

Fran and Laura the Foodbank Managers, were able to share with the 200+ Vodafone employees what West Berks Foodbank does on a typical day.
We explained what a difference the free Vodafone SIM cards makefor those in our community. We told them how we work in partnership with charities to provide a holistic approach to our clients needs.
It’s never about food, its about helping support these vulnerable households to independence, resilience and eventually not needing a food parcel.

It was a lovely and engaged group of people, who asked great questions and were enthusiastically onboard with this amazing partnership between Trussell Trust and Vodafone.

Much to our delight, Vodafone had asked its employees to donate essential hygiene items, and their amazing team packed bags for our clients with shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, deodorant, period products etc for us to share with residents of West Berkshire.

Thank you so much Vodafone for your hospitality and your continued support, and thank you Trussell Trust for sharing your stage with us!
